Cameron Drew,
Pipefitting and Welding Instructor:

Cameron Drew has not only welded for many years of his life but is also a Welding Engineer, holding a BA degree from Trenton State College. Cameron has become a true welding expert, and he provided his technical expertise during arbitration between the US Navy and US Coast Guard. He has also served as an expert witness for many firms lending his technical welding expertise during litigation. Cameron has also been an AWS Certified Welding Inspector and Welding Instructor for over 26 years; he has taught in various places throughout the country and also internationally. Cameron is the welding expert who was called in after the 1993 World Trade Center bombing.

Projects that Cameron has worked on and managed include construction, asbestos abatement, boiler and pressure vessel repair, ammonia piping systems, steam and refinery pipe installations, and ship and bridge repairs.

Our instructor has also written and qualified welding procedures to ASME, ANSI, and AWS applications using SMAW, SAW, GTAW, and GMAW welding processes. Cameron also has qualified welders in the following crafts: Pipefitters, Boilermakers, Pipe Liners, Tankeys, Shipfitters, Plumbers, Steam Fitters, Structural Fabricators, Utility, and Refinery “A” Mechanics.

Cameron also performed, supervised, and analyzed NDT testing of weldments using RT, UT, MT, and PT processes. He has also written many QA and QC manuals for many organizations obtaining certification and re-certification.

Cameron is the former Technical Chairman for the American Welding Society Delaware Valley Section, has served on the National Educational Committee for the American Welding Society, and is a member of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers and the New Jersey Education Association.

The teaching style utilized during our Welding training really involves our students and they always participate in very interactive class discussions. Cameron truly loves to teach, and our students always come away enriched with enhanced welding skills and, after much hands-on training, a valuable, highly worthwhile welding experience.
