• Basic Pipefitting Terminologies
• Pipefitting diagrams and symbols
• Identifying pipefittings, schedules, and diameters
• Reading a pipe identification stencil
• Students will learn how to square up pipe ends in preparation for welding
• Alignment of slip-on flanges or weld neck fittings is taught to students
• Leveling and squaring pipe to drawing dimensions (providing hands-on equipment is available)
• Types of pipe hangers and loads
• Gasket types and bolt types
